How To Cook Prime Rib

Prime rib is a delicious and luxurious cut of beef. Here's a basic guide to cooking it in the oven:

Ingredients:   Prime rib roast (your desired size)   Olive oil   Salt and pepper   Herbs and spices (optional)

Instructions: 1. Preheat oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

Season: Remove the prime rib from the refrigerator and pat it dry with paper towels. Rub the roast with olive oil and season generously with salt and pepper. Add any desired herbs and spices, such as rosemary, thyme, or garlic powder.

1.Sear: Place the prime rib in a roasting pan and sear in the oven for 15 minutes. This will help lock in the juices. 2. Reduce temperature: Reduce the oven temperature to 325°F (165°C). –

Cook: Cook the prime rib for 20-25 minutes per pound for medium-rare, or longer for a more well-done. Use a meat thermometer to check the internal temperature.

Rest: Remove the prime rib from the oven and let it rest for 15-20 minutes before carving. This will allow the juices to redistribute throughout the meat.

Tips:   Bone-in or boneless: Choose between bone-in or boneless prime rib based on your preference. Bone-in prime rib can add flavor and moisture, while boneless is easier to carve.

1. Temperature: Use a meat thermometer to ensure the prime rib is cooked to your desired level of doneness. 2. Resting: Resting the prime rib after cooking is essential for tender, juicy meat.
